Originating from 20th-century military uniforms, the chino was designed to meet demands for heat, mobility, and durability. Developed from robust cotton twills for troops in hot climates, it stands out for its relative lightness and ability to remain functional during prolonged use. Gradually adopted by civilians, it has become a versatile pair of trousers, bridging the gap between formal and utilitarian, widely popularized by American cinema.

Its construction relies on a tightly woven cotton gabardine, here in dense drill. This type of weave offers a smooth surface, good abrasion resistance, and stable hold. At 375 g/m², the fabric gains structure without becoming rigid. Mercerized fibers enhance strength and provide a slight visual tension. Depending on the dyes, the material evolves differently: progressive patina or color stability.

The assembly prioritizes durability: chain stitching, reinforced areas, functional pockets. The cut balances ease and structure, with a clean line that remains wearable for everyday use.

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.
