The men's henley T-shirt, summer version
The henley takes its name from Henley-on-Thames, on the Thames, where rowers wore a collarless top closed by a short buttoned placket. They needed a thick knit that absorbs sweat without hindering movement, and a neck you can open during the effort. This men's henley T-shirt takes exactly that neckline, but cuts the sleeves for the warm months. It keeps the same standard as its long-sleeve version: a dense knit, buttons that last, seams you don't feel.
Cut and sizing
Close cut, with about 8 cm (3 in) of ease around the chest. From S to XXL, the chest measures 52 to 60 cm flat (20.5 to 23.6 in), the front length 71 to 75 cm (28 to 29.5 in) and the sleeve 21 to 25 cm (8.3 to 9.8 in); it also comes in 3XL. How to wear a men's henley T-shirt
On its own in summer, collar open, with a chino or Japanese selvedge jeans. Under an open OG 107 overshirt when the weather cools, or with fatigue bermuda shorts in the heart of summer. For mid-season, the long-sleeve version takes over, in four colours.

A tube of knit, four-thread overlocked
The body is circular-knitted in Portugal, that is, as a tube. There is therefore no side seam: the knit goes around the chest in one piece, with no line to mark the flank.
The cotton yarn is mercerised, a treatment that gives it more lustre and strength. The knit weighs 240 g/m² and receives an anti-pilling treatment, to keep a clean surface wash after wash. The seams are four-thread overlocked, and each piece is pre-washed before being sold: the hand is soft from the first wear.

It is the T-shirt for men who find the T-shirt too simple. The buttoned placket is enough to give it style, without effort. At €45, it is the detail that makes the difference all summer.
A broken white, not an optical white
A single colour, off-white. It is a broken white, without the bluish brilliance of an optical white, which goes better with the raw look of denim or the khaki of combat trousers. At 240 g/m², the knit stays opaque, even in this light shade. Worn on its own, it lets you see the detail of the collar and placket.
The grandad collar, buttoned in corozo
The neck is edged with a 2 cm ribbed binding, and the buttoned placket drops 15 cm. It closes with corozo buttons, a vegetable ivory taken from a palm nut. Open, it frees the neck as in the days of the rowers; closed, it holds the neckline without tightening.
