Men's overshirt jacket: the OG-107 uniform
In 1952, the US Army adopted a work uniform in olive green cotton sateen, named after its shade: Olive Green 107, or OG-107. Soldiers and personnel wore it tucked or untucked according to orders, until 1989, before surplus took it into civilian life. Worn as a shirt or open like a jacket, our men's overshirt jacket takes up its shape, its shade and its details.

Cut and sizing
Straight cut, with about 12 cm (4.7 in) of ease around the chest. From S to XXL, half chest runs from 54 to 62 cm (21.3 to 24.4 in), front length from 72 to 76 cm (28.3 to 29.9 in) and sleeve from 64 to 68 cm (25.2 to 26.8 in); it also comes in 3XL. Take your usual size, without going up a size. The size guide helps you decide.
How to wear an overshirt jacket
Open over a T-shirt, with a red scarf and ecru trousers, as in our photos: it layers easily and breathes in mid-season. Closed in mid-season, over a cotton henley. With the OG 107 bermuda shorts, cut in the same spirit, or with selvedge jeans to cut against the green.
Care
Machine washable at home: 30 °C (86 °F) inside out, short cycle, mild detergent with no bleaching agent, and separately the first few times, because dyed cotton bleeds slightly. No tumble dryer and no fabric softener. Air dry in the shade; iron at medium heat, on the reverse to protect the colour.
Two chest pockets, corozo buttons
We kept what makes the original shirt: two patch chest pockets, 14 × 16 cm, with flaps and reinforcements. Topstitched sides and sleeves set with a chain stitch, as on the period model. The buttons are corozo, a vegetable ivory taken from a palm nut. Inside the collar, an issue label, as on military pieces.
Patine et durabilité
In three years, this OG-107 sateen will have faded like a true surplus piece.

A genuine period OG-107 can still be found, but rarely in your size and rarely in good condition. This one gives you the whole piece, new, in a Japanese cloth denser than the original. Shirt closed or jacket open: it is the military piece that fits in everywhere.
A 12 oz Japanese sateen
What has changed is the cloth. The cotton sateen is woven in Japan, in 12 oz: denser than the original uniforms. Its smooth surface slides under a jacket and holds its shape well. After making in Portugal, the overshirt is washed in France to recover the Olive Green 107 shade of the Vietnam War years.
Patinated from day one
The patina is achieved mechanically. The overshirt arrives with the look of a surplus piece, without the fragility of cloth worn out by the years, and it keeps that texture through a 30 °C wash. It then keeps patinating with your use, without losing shape.
