Size guide

Our measurements are taken on the garment, laid flat, in centimeters. Look up your model: its chart appears, and we work out the size to order.

How to measure yourself

The house chart

Our average measurements, taken across the whole catalog. A model may differ — its own chart is what counts, and the tool above tells you.

Choosing well, by family

Jeans & pants

Our jean sizes are American inches: a 32 corresponds to a stated waist of 32 inches. The chart gives the half-waist measured flat — double it to get the actual circumference of the garment.

On a heavy 15 oz cloth, the waistband hardly relaxes: take your actual waist measurement, with two to four centimeters of ease. On raw, unsanforized denim, expect one to one and a half centimeters of shrinkage at the first wash: so it is better not to size down.

Between two sizes on a straight cut, take the larger. A waist can be taken in; a thigh that is too tight cannot be fixed.

Jackets, blousons & coats

A jacket is worn over something. Our measurements are those of the garment laid flat: add four to six centimeters of ease to your chest measurement if you wear it over a knit, more over a thick sweater.

It is the only family where we advise rounding up when in doubt. A shoulder that is too narrow restricts the arm and cannot be altered.

Shirts & overshirts

A shirt is chosen on the half-chest and the front length. Take your usual size to wear it tucked into your trousers.

An overshirt is a light jacket: if you plan to wear it over a thick T-shirt or a knit, go up a size. Do the same for a deliberately loose look.

T-shirts, sweaters & sweatshirts

Look at the front length as much as the chest: it is what decides the look. Our tops are cut straight, without shaping.

Washed cotton knits and jerseys move little, but a first wash at thirty degrees is safer than a hot wash, especially for length.

Beanies, belts & accessories

Beanies are one size. Belts are chosen by the waist measurement of the trousers you wear, not by your bare waist.

If in doubt about an accessory, write to us: we measure the piece and reply within the day.
