Men's military shorts, cut from the OG-107
From 1952 to 1989, the OG-107 was the work and combat uniform of all the American armed forces. It took its name from its colour, "Olive Green 107", and was cut from an 8.5 oz cotton sateen. These men's military shorts take that cotton sateen, at a weight of about 8.5 oz like the original, and its shade. They keep the logic of a garment made for the field and the heat: an airy cloth, useful pockets, a cut that lets you move, stopping at the knee.

Cut and sizing
Straight cut, slightly loose, that drops to the knee and leaves the leg free, on a bike or a walk. Take your usual size for a clean fit, or one size up for more ease. From 26 to 38; the size guide helps you decide.
How to wear men's military shorts
With a chambray shirt and canvas or leather sneakers, as in our photos. With a white T-shirt, for the simplest version. With an Aloha shirt, for a frank summer look. When the season turns, the same spirit exists as fatigue trousers.
Care

Pockets sized like the trousers
The large front pockets are patch pockets with an angled opening, measuring 27 × 15 cm. At the back, two 17 × 14 cm pockets close with a buttoned flap, as on the uniform trouser, which already had two flapped patch back pockets. All are deep enough for a wallet, a phone or a notebook, and reinforced to stand up to use.

Pre-washed at 95 °C, stonewashed
The cloth is piece-dyed, then pre-washed at 95 °C before sale: this high-temperature wash stabilises the fabric and limits shrinkage in wear. It then goes through a stone wash, which softens the raw hand of the sateen, marks the relief slightly and gives the olive green the look of a piece already worn. The shorts arrive supple and keep their shape.
A lined crotch, corozo buttons
The crotch is lined with an Italian herringbone, which protects it from rubbing: a reinforcement appreciated on a bike, a motorbike or a long walk. Inside, the seams are finished with an ecru bias binding. The buttons are corozo, the vegetable ivory, chosen in burgundy to go with the olive green. The shorts are made in Portugal.
