Hawaiian Shirt

Born in Hawaii at the end of the 19th century to outfit Japanese sugarcane field workers, the aloha shirt met a simple requirement: protect from the burning sun while imposing a decent attire on bare-chested men in the eyes of missionaries. Sewn from 1905 by Koichiro Miyamoto with kimono fabrics adorned with local motifs, it transitioned from plantations to tourists and soldiers after 1930, before establishing itself on the American continent among surfers and then the general public after World War II.

The 100% bamboo viscose, light and fluid like silk, offers a supple drape that breathes without clinging to the skin. The 8 cm Cuban collar, mounted with a discreet corozo button at the base, adjusts or opens as needed, while all the vegetable ivory buttons provide a natural and stable finish. Knitted in Portugal, it maintains precise seams without excessive rigidity.

Its straight cut drapes with ease, ample at the shoulders. Worn open over a T-shirt or closed on its own, it transcends seasons with a cool attitude true to its tropical heritage.

What is the quality of Champ de Manœuvres products?

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.

Can I return or exchange an item if the size doesn't fit?

Of course! Returns and exchanges are free in France and Belgium for all orders over €150. You have 14 days to try on your items at home and return them if necessary.
