How do you get the worn look of a garment that is new? The usual answer is not pretty: sandblasting, chemical baths, a lot of water. For this men's vintage denim jacket we took the other path. It shares the history of our raw denim jacket, the work jacket of labourers and ranch hands turned classic, but in a denim already patinated: you wear it from day one with the drape of a piece that has lived two seasons.
Cut and sizing
Straight cut. From S to XXL, half chest runs from 53 to 61 cm (20.9 to 24 in) and length from 64 to 68 cm (25.2 to 26.8 in). Take your usual size: since the stiffness of the denim has already been broken, the jacket will not soften much more.
How to wear a men's vintage denim jacket
Over a grey hoodie and a beanie, as in our photos, or over a white T-shirt, the combination that shows off the fading best. With dark trousers rather than jeans of the same shade: a navy chino or an officer chino. In mid-season, a lambswool sweater underneath.
Care
Wash it as rarely as possible; air it between wears. When needed: 30 °C (86 °F) inside out, short cycle, mild detergent with no bleaching agent, separately the first few times, because indigo bleeds. Air dry in the shade, never in a tumble dryer. The patina will keep changing, more slowly than raw denim, where the jacket bends.
A patina without sandblasting or chemistry
First, what we do not use. No sandblasting: this process, which projects sand under pressure, has caused silicosis in textile workers and remains banned in several countries. No chemical bleaching agents either.

The wear is achieved with ozone, which fades the fibre by oxidation without attacking its structure, and with laser for localised abrasions. The Moroccan workshop that makes this jacket works without a water bath: it reports about five litres per piece, against around a hundred for a classic wash. The result is the look of an old denim with the strength of a new cloth.
Patine et durabilité
In three years, this jacket will have five seasons, and they will be yours.
It arrives with the look of a piece that has already lived two seasons. Not through sandblasting, which made textile workers ill, nor chemical baths: its patina comes from ozone and laser, with about 5 litres of water per piece. A 13 oz denim whose stiffness is already broken. Here is what it becomes next.

Personne d’autre n’aura ces marques. Une friperie vend la vie des autres ; celle-ci est la vôtre.
You like the look of an old jacket, but not the idea of inheriting the marks of a stranger. This one gives you the drape of a worn-in piece from day one, without having harmed anyone to get it. It already has the style. It is up to you to add the story.
The collar, the leather, the chain stitch
At the collar, a Workwear Champ de Manœuvres leather patch; on the front, metal buttons. The waist hems and cuffs are chain-stitched, a very strong seam, and the thread was chosen to last. At the back, buttoned tabs at the waist let you adjust the volume.
Six pockets lined in ecru
Two flap chest pockets, closed with a metal button. Two hand pockets. Two inner pockets. All are lined with a 100% cotton ecru cloth, which reinforces the bottoms where keys and coins wear most.
