Née du besoin de chaleur pour les travaux d’hiver ou les sorties en mer, cette pièce en laine d’agneau issue de la première tonte italienne répond à une logique simple : envelopper sans entraver, avec une densité qui retient l’air tout en respirant. D’abord outil des campagnes et des marins, elle s’est glissée dans le vestiaire civil comme un pull de base, fiable sous une veste ou porté seul.

Le tricotage fully fashioned, exécuté au Maroc, assemble les pièces avec précision pour une couture propre et stable, sans déformation au port. La côte 1x1 forme un col rond et ajusté, souple à l’extension, tandis que les poignets en bord-côte intégrés maintiennent la ligne sans raideur. La laine, fine et naturellement lanolinée, offre une main douce, une chaleur hygroscopique qui suit les variations d’humidité.

Sa coupe droite épouse les épaules avec aisance, un tombé fluide qui suit le corps. Porté près de la peau ou en superposition, il assure un confort tenu dans la durée, fidèle à son usage originel.

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.
