Ventile® liner vest

The quilted liner vest's origins lie in the British military parka liners of the 1940s, developed with Ventile® cotton to insulate pilots and soldiers from cold, damp conditions without condensation. Used by the RAF and then in polar expeditions, this densely woven cotton fabric swells when wet to repel water; repurposed for civilian use after the war, it equipped hikers and workers for breathable mid-season wear.

Woven in England from 100% Ventile® cotton, waterproof due to ultra-dense fine fibers that block light rain and wind while allowing body vapor to escape. Quilted with 90/10 cotton down for lightweight warmth, in a discreet beige; two lined square front pockets, a straight, standard cut with no superfluous details. Made in Toulouse.

Its loose fit (sizes S to XL) drapes without being restrictive: worn alone or under a jacket, it breathes in autumnal drizzle, protects without overheating, and adapts to urban or active layering.

What is the quality of Champ de Manœuvres products?

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.

Can I return or exchange an item if the size doesn't fit?

Of course! Returns and exchanges are free in France and Belgium for all orders over €150. You have 14 days to try on your items at home and return them if necessary.
