These Slack chinos are the marriage of two worlds: tailoring and workwear.
We opted for a vintage style for the finishes and a modern fitted cut at the bottom, opening at 17.6 cm for a size 32.

The chino slack emerged in the early 20th century as work trousers for officers or laborers, cut to allow unrestricted movement under a jacket while providing support during daily exertion. More structured than raw canvas, it quickly became popular for everyday wear due to its clean look and adaptability, from urban construction sites to versatile wardrobes.

Woven in France from 250 g/m² cotton gabardine, its tight weave – a fine, dense diagonal – offers abrasion resistance combined with discreet suppleness, far from the airy lightness of classic versions. Garment-dyed to set the color, the fabric maintains its stable hand after washing; the waistband and crotch lined with 100% cotton Italian herringbone prevent deformation, while the double button tab in corozo (vegetable ivory) and a YKK size 5 zipper ensure a secure closure. Deep, piped back pockets, closed with double-stitched buttons and D-shaped bar tacks, reinforce the bottom without fragility.

Its cut, wide at the thighs (30.5 to 34.5 cm), tapers at the ankles (16.75 to 18.5 cm), and marks the waist without an superfluous belt. Take your usual size: it conforms to the body in motion, providing structure without constriction, transitioning from tailoring to workwear.

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.

Of course! Returns and exchanges are free in France and Belgium for all orders over €150. You have 14 days to try on your items at home and return them if necessary.
