Here are our BDU type cargo pants, cut in a very tight canvas fabric, waterproof treated, weighing 296 g/m², made of 86% cotton and 4% wool. We applied manual surface aging to it, as well as a so-called stone wash effect using ozone.

Born on the battlefields of the Spanish-American War in the late 19th century, then perfected as the American Battle Dress Uniform (BDU) in the 80s, the cargo cut meets an obvious military requirement: multiplying pockets to carry ammunition, tools, and personal effects without hindering movement. A cheap and sturdy work garment, it has transitioned to civilian use, adopted by Ivy League students before becoming popular in cities, softened and refined.

The canvas fabric, cotton blended with 4% wool, offers a structured density, softened by this blend for extra winter warmth. Ozone-aged in Morocco – chemical-free – it features laser abrasions on the pockets and thighs, whiskers, and a vintage patina that can be felt to the touch. The double-flapped, bellowed pockets with hidden corozo buttons facilitate access, while the initial water repellent protects against light showers. The carrot cut, wide at the thighs and tapered at the bottom (17.5 cm opening), with an adjustable tab, fits snugly.

Worn rolled up with sneakers or tucked into boots, it effortlessly structures the leg. Pairing it with a utility jacket or a cable-knit sweater extends its functional logic into modern use.

What is the quality of Champ de Manœuvres products?

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.
