A men's white oxford shirt, from sport
Its collar buttons down for a simple reason: on English polo fields, the collar points flapped at the gallop. Later adopted by Ivy League students, the shirt went from the field to the lecture hall, then to the office and the weekend, without changing shape. In white, our men's white oxford shirt is the easiest to match: it goes under a work jacket as well as with raw jeans, and it has changed very little since the first model. That is exactly what makes it a safe bet.
Cut and sizing
Straight cut, with about 12 cm (4.7 in) of ease around the chest. In size M, it measures 56 cm half chest, 54 cm half waist, 63 cm sleeve and 73 cm front length; each size adds 2 cm of chest and waist, and 1 cm of sleeve and length. From S to 3XL. How to wear a white oxford shirt
Sleeves rolled up in the sun, as in our photos, or collar open with jeans. Under a work jacket, the grain of the oxford answers the matte canvas. Tucked into a navy chino for a dressier day. It also exists in sky blue.
Care

Two threads instead of one
Oxford is a basket weave: the threads are crossed in pairs instead of singly. The result is a visible grain, a thicker hand and better resistance than poplin, the fine cloth of dress shirts. Ours is woven in Portugal, in cotton, and weighs 185 g/m²: dense enough to hold its shape without being stiff. It creases less than a fine poplin, and a slight crease suits it.
Patine et durabilité
In three years, this oxford will be even softer than today.

A white oxford is the shirt that never gets it wrong: under a work jacket, with raw jeans, at the weekend as at the office. It has changed very little since the first model, and that is why you keep it. If you were to own only one shirt, it would be this one.
The collar, the mother-of-pearl, the finishing
The button-down collar keeps its curve even open, without a tie. The buttons are natural mother-of-pearl, at the collar as at the cuffs. On the front, a patch chest pocket; under the collar, the Champ de Manoeuvres Heritage Workwear label; at the back, a shoulder yoke. At the bottom, the side vent and the hem are topstitched, two places that work with every movement. The shirt is made in Morocco.
