The denim jacket emerged in the early 20th century as workwear for American laborers and cowboys, designed to withstand dust, tools, and long rides. From a uniform for ranches and then garages, it became a rock culture staple in the 1950s, worn by James Dean and Marlon Brando; an icon of the Beat Generation, it has endured through the eras as a rebellious and versatile civilian wardrobe item.

Woven from 100% 13oz cotton denim, the thick fabric is firm without being overly rigid, ozonated and laser-treated in Morocco (waterless technology, 5 liters of water) for a worn vintage effect: wear on hems and folds without chemical sandblasting. Super-strong chain stitching on the waistbands and cuffs, classic tightening tab, six unbleached cotton-lined pockets (two functional inner ones) reinforce high-stress areas; durable thread ensures longevity.

Its straight cut (chest 53 to 61 cm), length 64 to 68 cm, drapes loosely: take your usual size. It moves with the arm, breathes alone or open, and improves with wear, whether in the city or the workshop.

What is the quality of Champ de Manœuvres products?

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.

Can I return or exchange an item if the size doesn't fit?

Of course! Returns and exchanges are free in France and Belgium for all orders over €150. You have 14 days to try on your items at home and return them if necessary.
