This men's green beanie gets its character from its flecks: tiny points of colour caught in the yarn, which catch the light instead of returning it flat. From a distance, it is a woodland green; up close, a constellation. These points have a technical name, neps: they are obtained by slipping small tufts of fibre dyed in another colour into the yarn before spinning. They are never distributed the same way twice.

One size: the elastic knit fits every head, men and women. It is worn with a short cuff or unfolded over the ears.
How to wear a men's green beanie
Walking, in winter, under a hood: it makes the layer that stops the cold coming in at the nape. With a waxed jacket or a khaki work jacket: the two greens don't cancel each other, and the flecks create the difference of material. In town, over a dark coat, it is the only touch of colour you need.

A green made for outdoors
The effect recalls Donegal tweeds from Ireland, known for their small strands of colour inserted at irregular intervals. The green is not an urban colour, and that is the whole point: it goes with outdoor materials, waxed canvas, oiled leather, waxed cotton, raw wool. It also stands the grey light of November better than black, which hardens the face. Under artificial light, it tends slightly toward khaki.

No other beanie will have exactly your flecks. The green goes with leather, khaki and navy, and adds colour to a dark coat without overdoing it. It is the beanie of men who love nature, even in town.
Lambswool and angora, one piece
The beanie is knitted in Scotland on hand-operated frames, in a fully fashioned knit: it comes off in one piece, with no cutting or joining seam. Lambswool, at 75%, gives hold; angora, at 25%, gives lightness, because its hollow fibre traps air without adding weight. The result is a light beanie that really cuts the cold.
