The men's white T-shirt pack, in twos
The white T-shirt is the base of any wardrobe: it is worn on its own, under an open shirt, under a jacket or under a sweater. You might as well have two, one on you and one in the wash. This men's white T-shirt pack brings together two identical pieces, in optical white: a frank white, that leans neither ecru nor blue. The T-shirt itself comes from the uniform: in 1913, the US Navy issued its sailors a white cotton undershirt with a round neck and short sleeves, which veterans would wear on its own after the Second World War.

Cut and sizing
Slightly fitted cut, with about 10 cm (4 in) of ease around the chest and a clean drop. From XS to XXL. Take your usual size for a clean fit, or one size up for a more relaxed look. The size chart and the size guide help you decide.
How to wear white T-shirts
Under a raw denim jacket and dark trousers, as in our photos. With black cargo trousers, for a clean black and white outfit. On its own, with military bermuda shorts, in summer. There is also a pack in ecru.

A 240 g/m² knit that doesn't pill
Jersey takes its name from the island of Jersey, where fishermen's underwear and sweaters were knitted from the Middle Ages. The T-shirts are knitted in 100% cotton jersey, in 1×1 rib, at 240 g/m²: dense enough to be opaque, which matters on a white, without losing breathability. An anti-pilling treatment helps the surface stay smooth through the wash. Circular-knitted in Portugal, they are pre-washed before sale, for a softer hand from the first wear and limited shrinkage. They arrive folded in an ecru cotton pouch, which you can then use for storage.

A white T-shirt that stretches at the collar is a failed outfit. These keep their shape, and their white leans neither ecru nor blue. It is the base that makes everything else look better.
A collar that keeps its shape
The collar is finished with a rib binding: the rib sits over the jersey and forms a triple thickness, topstitched with a double needle in a cover stitch. It does not stretch and stays nicely rounded. At the top of the back, a flat-seam shoulder-blade yoke prevents irritation and holds the T-shirt on the shoulders. All the seams are four-thread overlocked with a chain stitch, so they don't twist in the wash.
