The sand moleskin jacket, a colour that hides nothing
The sand moleskin jacket makes a bet that blue and black don't: a light colour on a garment made to work. Sand hides nothing. It records creases, hand marks and workbench rubbing, and that is exactly what, after two seasons, makes this jacket interesting. On outerwear, a light shade also lightens the silhouette and brightens the face, where blue and black close it in.

How to wear a sand moleskin jacket
Over dark tones: with Japanese jeans and a navy sweater, the sand becomes the light point of the silhouette. Tone on tone: ecru chinos and a white T-shirt, the whole stays light and the material makes the difference. In place of a blazer, buttoned over a blue oxford shirt. It also exists in hydron blue.
Care
Machine washable at home, dry cleaning is not necessary: 30 °C (86 °F) inside out, short cycle, mild detergent with no bleaching agent. No tumble dryer and no fabric softener. Air dry in the shade. Between washes, a brush is often enough to remove surface dust.
A French working cloth
Moleskin takes its name from the English "moleskin", for its short, soft surface. It is a very tightly woven cotton cloth in a satin weave that has dressed French workshops since the 19th century and has become to the French wardrobe what denim is to the American one. Ours weighs 420 g/m², about 14 oz: dense without being cardboardy, a little stiff at first, then supple, until it takes the shape of your shoulders.

A light patina
With use, moleskin softens and marks at the flex points: elbows, cuffs, the base of the pockets. The jacket personalises itself like raw denim, but in a light tone and more discreetly. You have to accept it: a sand moleskin is not meant to stay new. If you want a piece that changes little, choose the olive.
Four pockets, a clean cut
On the front, a chest pocket and two large lower pockets; inside, an inner pocket for what should stay safe. The cut is fitted with a sharp shoulder: the jacket plays the part of a casual town jacket, buttoned over a shirt, as well as that of a workshop jacket. It is made entirely in France.
