Born for English polo players and later popularized by Ivy League students, the Oxford button-down shirt met a specific need: a collar held in place without flapping during sudden movements. Initially a sports and academic garment, it established itself in civilian wardrobes as a versatile basic, worn open or closed depending on the context.

The Oxford fabric, a 2x1 rib cotton weighing 180 g/m², offers a supple and dense basketweave structure that breathes without sagging. Natural mother-of-pearl buttons and a reinforced button-down collar ensure a stable fit, while meticulous finishes – clean seams, enzyme wash – preserve its shape after repeated washes.

Its fitted cut, close to the body without being tight, provides a clean drape with ease in the shoulders. Worn alone in mid-season or tucked into trousers, it accompanies daily use with a simple and durable presence.

What is the quality of Champ de Manœuvres products?

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.

Can I return or exchange an item if the size doesn't fit?

Of course! Returns and exchanges are free in France and Belgium for all orders over €150. You have 14 days to try on your items at home and return them if necessary.
