Wash at 30 °C (86 °F) inside out, short cycle, mild detergent with no bleaching agent.
Wash separately the first few times: indigo naturally bleeds.
Do not tumble dry: air dry in the shade.
Iron at medium heat on the reverse if necessary.
Air between wears rather than washing systematically.

As a result, our selvedge jeans offer thickness and strength. They age with you, patinating for the long term. This combination guarantees exceptional durability.
Your movements and your build will mark the jeans naturally. That evolution makes each pair unique.
At first, you will have to close the jeans with some effort. They will then relax with repeated wear. That adaptation gives a perfect fit over time.
Denim made in Japan

Our Japanese denim is 100% cotton, 14 oz, in pure natural indigo. It is a true o-yoroi, cut like a nodachi, sharpened like a Masamune blade.
It will refine itself through the seasons like the sakura in bloom heralding the next hanami, symbolising natural evolution and timeless beauty. If you want to wear it the Japanese way, we advise taking one size up, or otherwise heading to the Italian model, for versatility and optimal comfort on every build.
Hidden pocket rivets
Above all, we chose an authentic jean, faithful to tradition. This premium jean therefore has this finish inside the pockets, preserving the strength of the back pockets.
The rivet ensures the strength of the openings and the durability of the product. Inside the jeans, each back pocket has two CDM rivets, reinforced with a bar tack on each side in Coats® thread.
Union Special made
The crotch of our Japanese selvedge jeans is assembled with an off-the-arm machine. This technique is very strong and gives a nice fade after a few months of wear.
Finally, to finish, the supreme finishing for a pair of jeans: the chain-stitch hem is made on the legendary Union Special 43200G.

For a long time, an Okayama selvedge had to be earned: you had to look for it among specialists and pay the price. This one is woven by Collect, a mill in Okayama Prefecture, in 14 oz, rope-dyed. On the first day, it closes with an effort. Then it relaxes and takes your shape. Here is what happens in between.

Okayama, mon amour
Collect is to denim what Hokusai is to ukiyo-e, an undisputed master whose skill no longer needs proving. This Japanese mill from Okayama Prefecture has kept the selvedge tradition alive over the years, preserving a precious heritage.
We, who did not necessarily love over-fitted cuts, had to admit that the work was impeccable. Compliments from outside came thick and fast, testifying to the unmatched quality of our products.
The cut is based on our 15 oz jeans, perfectly balancing fit and freedom. Every detail lets the garment breathe, like a subtle dance between cloth and body. This intentional space, inspired by the Japanese concept of ma, guarantees a comfortable, natural and harmonious wearing experience.
For example, our model, 1.78 m (5 ft 10 in) tall and weighing 74 kg (163 lb), wears our Japanese selvedge jeans in size 30, his usual size.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.
