Men's navy corduroy trousers, in a fatigue cut
These men's navy corduroy trousers take the construction of our fatigue trousers, themselves taken from the US Army OG-107 uniform trouser. The fly closes with buttons, and the button placket is remade identically: it adjusts the waist and lets you slip between two sizes without a belt. Waist tabs complete the adjustment at the sides. Only the material changes: a corduroy in place of the cotton sateen.

Cut and sizing
Carrot cut: volume at the thighs, then a leg that narrows to the ankle, without the fullness of combat wear; it is worn as well over a dress shoe as over a boot. The model runs large: take one size below your usual size. From 28 to 36; the size guide helps you decide.
How to wear men's navy corduroy trousers
With a white oxford shirt and a grey knit, for an office outfit that doesn't look like a suit. With a light grey sweater, the contrast that lights up the outfit. Under a khaki work jacket, the navy calms the military reference. They also come in brown.

Machine washable at home: 30 °C (86 °F) inside out, short cycle, mild detergent with no bleaching agent, and separately the first few times, because dyed cotton bleeds slightly. No tumble dryer and no fabric softener, which clogs the fibre and flattens the wales. Air dry in the shade; iron at medium heat, on the reverse.
Pockets to the original measurements
The back pockets keep the measurements of the military model, 17 × 14 cm, and close with a buttoned flap, as on the OG-107 trouser, which already had them as patch pockets. At the front, the large patch pockets open at an angle, the signature of the fatigue trouser. All are held by bar tacks, where a pocket usually tears: they are there to carry, not just to decorate.

Navy corduroy is the dressiest of the cords: it goes to the office with a shirt, at the weekend with a sweater. It is the winter trouser for those who find jeans too cold and flannel too strict.
Reinforcements inside
The pockets are lined with a topstitched ecru cotton, stronger than a light lining. The assembly is done in tone-on-tone double topstitching. The crotch is lined with an Italian herringbone that protects it from rubbing: cyclists and motorcyclists notice it quickly. The trousers are made in Morocco.
A Velcorex corduroy, woven in France
The cord comes from Velcorex, a French house that has worked with textiles for two centuries, and it is woven and dyed in France. It is a wide-wale corduroy, called cable cord, of 370 g/m², softened by an enzyme wash. In navy, it becomes dressier than in brown: it reads almost like a wool trouser, and takes a white shirt without effort.
