Wash separately the first few times: dyed cotton bleeds slightly.
Do not tumble dry: air dry in the shade.
Iron at medium heat, on the reverse to protect the colour.
Avoid fabric softener, which clogs the fibre and reduces its breathability.

Men's navy blue chinos: tailoring outside, workshop inside
At the start of the 20th century, this type of trouser dressed officer and worker alike: it had to move under the jacket and hold up at work. Navy is the smartest version of our Slack model. These men's navy chinos start from a simple idea: take the construction of a tailored trouser and cut it from a work cloth. The waistband shows it as soon as you open it, with its ecru lining printed with our name, its Heritage Workwear label and its corozo button.

Cut and sizing
Modern cut, fitted toward the bottom. From 28 to 38, the half thigh runs from 30.5 to 34.5 cm and the half opening from 16.75 to 18.5 cm; in size 32, the chino measures 43 cm half waist and 17.5 cm half opening. It runs large: choose one size below your usual size. The size guide helps you decide.
How to wear navy chinos
With a white oxford shirt and leather shoes for the office. With a short-sleeve henley in summer. Under a corduroy overshirt in mid-season. It also comes in beige and olive.
Care
At home, no dry cleaning: 30 °C (86 °F) inside out, short cycle, mild detergent with no bleaching agent, separately the first few times. No tumble dryer and no fabric softener. Air dry in the shade; a pass of the iron on the reverse, at medium heat, to keep the colour.
A waistband lined with Italian herringbone
The inner waistband is 100% cotton Italian herringbone: it keeps its shape through wear instead of rolling over. The main label is sewn with a zigzag stitch. The front crotch is lined, and the back crotch finished with a bias binding.

Zip fly, double button placket
A double button placket holds the fly at the waist. The size-5 metal zip comes from YKK in Japan. The bias that borders the fly keeps it clean inside, wash after wash.
Buttons sewn twice
All the buttons are corozo, a vegetable ivory, sewn twice with Coats thread. At the back, two deep double-welt pockets close with the same buttons; a D-shaped bar tack reinforces their edges and bottom.
The cloth is a 250 g/m² cotton gabardine, woven and dyed in France in a very tight twill, denser than a classic gabardine. Piece-dyed, it keeps a stable hand after washing. The trousers are assembled in Morocco, to our specifications.
