Men's flannel trousers, in a fatigue cut
Flannel is a suiting cloth; the fatigue cut comes from the US Army work uniform. These men's flannel trousers bring the two together. They take the architecture of our fatigue trousers: patch front pockets with an angled opening, buttoned back pockets, waist tabs, and the waist in an anthracite wool flannel. The result is worn like a town trouser, with pockets that really work.

Cut and sizing
Carrot cut: roomy at the thighs, from 30.5 to 34.5 cm depending on size, then narrowed at the bottom, from 16.75 to 18.5 cm, measured flat. The buttoned waist tabs adjust the waist without a belt. The model runs large: take one size below your usual size. From 28 to 38; the size guide helps you decide.
How to wear men's flannel trousers
With a white shirt and black shoes, like a suit trouser without the suit. With the OG-107 overshirt: the flannel softens the military origin of both pieces. In winter, under a turtleneck and a pea coat, the outfit stays entirely in wool.

A double tab and corozo buttons
The fly and the waistband close with a double buttoned tab. All the buttons are corozo, the vegetable ivory taken from the hardened endosperm of a tropical American palm, and they are double-stitched so they don't come off. Inside, an ecru bias binding finishes the fly and the underlap: a detail nobody sees except the person wearing them.

A 420 g/m² wool flannel
Flannel is a wool cloth with a downy feel. This one, of Portuguese origin, is woven in twill then brushed, which gives it its soft surface and its heathered look. It weighs 420 g/m², a real winter weight, where current suiting flannels are rather lighter. Anthracite, a deep grey, keeps the sobriety of a dress trouser while hiding the marks of a day.
Seams made for use
The whole structure is built with tone-on-tone double topstitching. At the pockets, the seam layers up to four thicknesses, a demanding assembly that does not move once sewn. Inside, two half-moon reinforcement pieces spread the tension, and the crotch is reinforced with a cotton piece. The trousers are made in Portugal, near Braga.
