Born in the 19th century on the banks of the Thames in Henley-on-Thames, the Henley T-shirt was first worn by professional rowers: a buttoned collar to free the neck during exertion, and thick jersey to absorb sweat without hindering movement. Later adopted by the American army as field underwear, it went civilian via Hollywood, worn visibly for its simple robustness.

The 1x1 ribbed jersey, 100% mercerized cotton at 240 g/m², offers a smooth and opaque surface, reinforced against pilling and stable to repeated washes. The 2 cm Tunisian collar, buttoned with corozo over 15 cm, adjusts without constriction, while the seamless circular knit and 4-thread chain stitch overlocking guarantee a clean look. The vintage pre-wash softens the hand from the start.

Its slightly fitted cut follows the body with ease, with a clean drape at the shoulders. Worn alone in summer or under a shirt in winter, it navigates active uses and composed outfits with a versatility rooted in its sporting logic.

What is the quality of Champ de Manœuvres products?

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.

Can I return or exchange an item if the size doesn't fit?

Of course! Returns and exchanges are free in France and Belgium for all orders over €150. You have 14 days to try on your items at home and return them if necessary.
