Men's selvedge jeans: the beautiful, the raw
At CDM we have been offering premium denim from the start and always will. These men's selvedge jeans are rope-dyed, like our fine selvedges: thick, hard-wearing, and ageing with you as they patinate. They will mark according to your movements and your build, making the piece unique.
What is herringbone cloth?
100% cotton herringbone is a cloth with a distinct texture and a robust structure, the result of a specific weaving process. It is characterised by V-shaped patterns, created by interlaced lines of thread forming alternating angles.
Our cowhide leather patch has also been treated so it will not stain your belt. We also widened the belt loops, one of them showing the distinctive colours of the selvedge edge.
Rivets on selvedge denim
Rivets are essential in the construction of a pair of jeans. They also help the product keep its shape and last. We chose brass for its aesthetic, valuable and durable qualities. Even the buttons received the same treatment, to keep a certain uniformity.
A supreme finish for a selvedge jean is the chain-stitch hem, made on the unique Union Special 43200G. Every seam is executed with precision, using only Coats thread, a guarantee of unmatched quality.
The use of this machine reveals itself when the jeans begin to patinate with time. As the saying goes, good things improve with age, and that is exactly the case with these selvedge jeans.
Care
- Avoid the washing machine to preserve the quality of the denim.
- Close the jeans with care at first: they will relax with time.
- Prefer hand washing or dry cleaning. If necessary, wash inside out to protect the colour.
- Hang them to dry to avoid unwanted creases.

We got this result by working only with the best weavers in the world. The elastane blend also guarantees great flexibility and comfort all day.
Gentlemen, from the first days it is worth knowing that the jeans should close with some effort and will relax with repeated wear. Avoid the washing machine as much as possible: your raw jeans will be better for it.

The fit
With a semi-slim cut and a leg opening of 18 cm in size 32, we chose a comfortable 32 cm half thigh, with a deep rise for optimal ease. Our selvedge jeans were designed to be as universal as possible, with a modern, slightly fitted touch that we call the 3218 cut. It will suit you well.

Every piece is designed to last, evolve and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are developed to our own specifications: we design our own weaves, then have them woven by the best mills in the world (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on old looms. A new cloth can take up to a year to come to life.
