Military Work Jacket

Born from the world of shelter and protective textiles, military tarpaulins met a simple requirement: to withstand bad weather, abrasion, and outdoor use. Robust and functional, they were not designed to be seen but to be used intensively, which gives them their own material history.

This jacket gives a second life to these canvases, retaining their aged patina and traces of their past. Each piece is cut, not to force the fabric, but to follow its initial state: wear and tear, creases, and past repairs become structural details. The fabric here is a cotton poplin, relatively supple but tightly woven enough to remain stable, with a hand that retains the imprint of time rather than the coldness of newness.

The olive drab buttons, sourced from US military stock, extend this logic of use: robust material, without frills, designed for handling. The French manufacturing brings it all together: a cut designed more as an extension of the tarpaulin than as an ideal construction, with a loose, structured fit that highlights the singularity of each canvas rather than the regularity of the series.

What is the quality of Champ de Manœuvres products?

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.

Can I return or exchange an item if the size doesn't fit?

Of course! Returns and exchanges are free in France and Belgium for all orders over €150. You have 14 days to try on your items at home and return them if necessary.
