Eugene workwear jacket

The Eugène work jacket originated from early 20th-century French workwear, worn by laborers, railway workers, and craftsmen to protect against metal, oil, and bending postures. In post-war USA, farmers and workers adopted it in thick canvas; its modern Cuban collar is inspired by worker variations for increased ease of movement.

Woven in France from cotton drill, a tight diagonal weave for robust density, dyed in a patinated hydrone blue – deep and faded like worn factory blues. Firm to the touch, it softens with wear; breathable without being heavy; bronze rivet chest pocket (11x11 cm), 16x16 cm hip cargo pockets, top-stitched interior patch pocket, sturdy linings for tools or essentials.

Its tailored fit (chest 53 to 63 cm), length 69 to 74 cm, accentuates without restricting: sleeves 62 to 66 cm move freely. The Cuban collar flatters the neck, it drapes urbanely over a t-shirt or short-sleeved shirt, suitable for city or construction site.

What is the quality of Champ de Manœuvres products?

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.

Can I return or exchange an item if the size doesn't fit?

Of course! Returns and exchanges are free in France and Belgium for all orders over €150. You have 14 days to try on your items at home and return them if necessary.
