POPLIN SHIRT - OPTIC WHITE

The poplin shirt originated in 18th-century London as a worker's or office shirt, finely woven to allow movement without creasing under a jacket. Comfortable against the skin, its light fabric withstood frequent washing; adopted by white-collar workers in the 19th century, it became a versatile men's basic, from formal to casual.

Woven from 100% cotton poplin with a paper-like feel, the tight weave provides a crisp and stable drape, in a brilliant optical white that breathes without clinging. Firmly sewn genuine mother-of-pearl buttons add subtle detail; a slim fit conforms to the torso without clinging, and reinforced seams prevent wear at the folds.

Its fitted silhouette (chest 44 to 64 cm), length 68 to 78 cm, drapes cleanly: sleeves 62 to 67 cm move freely. Tucked in or left out, it provides structure under a jacket or short-sleeved shirt, and breathes all year round.

What is the quality of Champ de Manœuvres products?

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.

Can I return or exchange an item if the size doesn't fit?

Of course! Returns and exchanges are free in France and Belgium for all orders over €150. You have 14 days to try on your items at home and return them if necessary.
