Men's Chambray Work Shirt

Appearing in the early 20th century in American workwear and naval uniforms, chambray differs from denim in its plain weave: an indigo-dyed warp thread crossed with a light weft. Originally lighter, it is designed to offer resistance and breathability in hot environments, while maintaining good drape.

In its 8 oz version, the fabric gains density and structure. The tightly woven cotton develops a firmer hand that limits wrinkling and stabilizes the silhouette throughout the day. Pre-washing fixes the dimensions and slightly softens the material without altering its drape. The indigo, carried on the warp thread, gradually evolves, creating unique color variations for each piece.

The construction incorporates utilitarian principles: a flexible chain-stitch placket, swallow gussets to accommodate movement, and durable "cat's eye" buttons. The cut corrects the excesses of old workwear: clean shoulders, controlled length, balanced volume. A shirt designed to last, evolve, and remain wearable every day.

What is the quality of Champ de Manœuvres products?

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.
