From a symbol of Phrygian revolt to an everyday Breton accessory, its ability to cover the head and ears without hindrance established its appeal, before it became a civilian winter essential.

The blend of lamb's wool and Caregora-certified angora – a British label guaranteeing tear-free farming – offers a silky, shiny, and thermoregulating down that traps air while breathing. Knitted fully-fashioned in Scotland on ancestral hand-operated machines, it forms a single piece of fabric, without cuts or waste, with a natural elasticity that adapts to the head circumference. Vibrant colors like Firecracker orange or Tango red provide a striking yet balanced contrast to a neutral wardrobe.

With a flexible brim, it measures 28 cm high and 24 cm wide when flat. Worn rolled or straight, it offers soft comfort, extending its utilitarian logic to urban or workshop use.

What is the quality of Champ de Manœuvres products?

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.

Can I return or exchange an item if the size doesn't fit?

Of course! Returns and exchanges are free in France and Belgium for all orders over €150. You have 14 days to try on your items at home and return them if necessary.
