Marine Corps military overshirt

The military shirt was not designed to last “in style,” but simply to last. Born from the need to withstand time, to be worn, repaired, passed down, it later appeared on screen, on civilian bodies, stripped of its original function but laden with meaning.

The fabric used here is old, dense cotton, with a dry hand, almost rigid at first, which softens without ever becoming loose. The irregularities, marks, and patina are not effects; they are traces. The construction using 100% cotton thread, sourced from 1950s military surplus, extends this logic – same material, same reaction over time. The hard, stable corozo buttons withstand wear without issue.

To restore is not to erase. It is to intervene just enough for the piece to be functional again. To consolidate without smoothing, to repair without betraying. The shirt remains what it is, but becomes wearable today. A piece that has passed through reality, put back into circulation, without being static or overvalued.

What is the quality of Champ de Manœuvres products?

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.

Can I return or exchange an item if the size doesn't fit?

Of course! Returns and exchanges are free in France and Belgium for all orders over €150. You have 14 days to try on your items at home and return them if necessary.
