Jacket Liner Militaria

The jacket liner is made from US Army poncho liners, introduced in the 1960s-1970s for insulation under the M65 jacket or as a mid-season layer in the field. Designed for Vietnam and then the Cold War, this piece of ripstop nylon and lightweight wadding protected against wind, drizzle, and cold nights without weighing down equipment; recycled here from increasingly rare stock, it avoids new production to conserve resources.

In olive drab ripstop nylon, the checkered fabric prevents tears with its reinforced threads, thin and light for dry insulation. Filled with polyester wadding, it traps air without excessive weight; 15x17.5 cm front pockets swallow a wallet or hands, premium ecru cotton bias finishes internal seams, a unique sixties yoke at the shoulder blade on each piece. Made in Toulouse, 100% France, 4 marbled corozo buttons with orange persimmon thread sewn with tone-on-tone Reece buttonholes, numbered army label (series of 50 copies).

Its straight cut (chest 53 to 59 cm), length 71.5 to 74.5 cm, fits loosely without cinching: take your usual size. It layers under a peacoat or wears alone over a t-shirt, breathing well in drizzle as in mid-season.

What is the quality of Champ de Manœuvres products?

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.
