Fishtail Parka

Originally designed for American soldiers during the Korean War, the M-51 parka met a clear need: to provide durable protection from cold, wind, and rain, under conditions of intensive use. Quickly adopted by civilians, it established itself as a functional garment, particularly in British urban scenes.

This version maintains that logic, using dense (420 gsm), tightly woven cotton moleskin, which offers good resistance to the elements while retaining a certain suppleness. The interior is fully lined with a removable, more compact lamb's wool gilet (590 gsm), which enhances insulation without stiffening the overall piece. The material holds its shape, develops a patina, and gradually adapts to use.

The straight cut allows for layering, with fitted sleeves, a modular hood, and discreet functional details. Worn with or without its liner, it adapts to seasonal variations without losing its cohesion.

What is the quality of Champ de Manœuvres products?

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.
