Ventilated Waterproof Parka

The Ventile® parka was developed in the 1940s to equip RAF pilots. It is woven from ultra-dense cotton that swells when damp to block rain and wind, without a synthetic membrane. Tested on polar expeditions, it insulated against wet cold while remaining breathable; adopted by soldiers and workers after the war, it was adapted for civilian use for active mid-season wear.

Woven from 100% Ventile® cotton, waterproof due to fine, tightly woven fibers without chemical treatment, the fine fabric wicks away body vapor without condensation. Rightemp® canvas lining (50% polyester, 50% polyamide) traps body heat; functional pleated front pockets, sturdy horn buttons, careful piping. Made in France, military slim fit.

Its straight silhouette (S to XL) structures without restricting: worn over a sweater or shirt, it protects against urban drizzle or on a walk, breathes during activity, and integrates into layering without excessive bulk.

What is the quality of Champ de Manœuvres products?

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.

Can I return or exchange an item if the size doesn't fit?

Of course! Returns and exchanges are free in France and Belgium for all orders over €150. You have 14 days to try on your items at home and return them if necessary.
