Chambray Collect Scarf

The chambray scarf originated as a utilitarian accessory for Japanese sailors and peasants, protecting them from salty winds and sun without burdening their necks under their smocks. Finely woven in Okayama, the cradle of Japanese denim, it quickly adapted to the open collars of workers; in the 20th century, it transitioned to civilian wear, gaining discreet sophistication for everyday elegance.

Woven at Collect Mills from 100% indigo cotton chambray, the lightweight weave – indigo warp on ecru weft – creates a stable, textured heathered effect from all angles, similar to lightweight denim. Washed and manufactured in Toulouse, it maintains its deep hue without excessive fading; measuring 250 cm long and 50 cm wide, it allows for a generous drape or flexible knotting.

What is the quality of Champ de Manœuvres products?

Our clothes are made from exceptional materials—Japanese selvedge denim, French wool from Tournier, etc.—and assembled in our workshop in Toulouse on traditional machines.

Each piece is designed to last, evolve, and develop a patina over time. The fabrics are custom-developed: we design our own wefts, then have them woven in the world's best factories (Japan, France, Italy, Portugal, Morocco), often on antique looms. This process can take up to a year to create a new fabric.

It is this level of requirement that makes Champ de Manoeuvres unique and of high quality.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping costs are automatically calculated when you place your order. Delivery is free in France and Belgium for orders over €150, in Europe for orders over €300, and worldwide for orders over €400.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on the destination: 2 to 5 business days in France, 2 to 8 days in Europe, and up to 16 days for the rest of the world. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the order is shipped.

Can I return or exchange an item if the size doesn't fit?

Of course! Returns and exchanges are free in France and Belgium for all orders over €150. You have 14 days to try on your items at home and return them if necessary.
