Our men's fishtail parka keeps that logic but rethinks the lining in natural materials. Inside, a removable vest in 100% lambswool melton, 590 g\/m², of Portuguese origin, in anthracite black. It has pockets on each side and can be worn alone, as a vest, when the parka stays on the hook.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eA hood that adjusts\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe hood, lined in ecru, adjusts to your head: a drawcord and buttons on each side tighten or open it. On the front, the button placket is concealed; the pockets have flaps, and the sleeves tighten at the cuff with a tab. The parka is fully lined.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eA peak against the rain\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen raised, the hood extends a stiff peak that shields the face from rain. It is a functional detail inherited from field parkas, and it makes the difference on a day of showers, when a collar alone is no longer enough.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eThe fishtail\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe word fishtail refers to the back hem of the parka: a fish-tail-shaped slit, adjustable with a cord, that leaves ease for walking or sitting. The cloth is a 420 g\/m² cotton \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Moleskin\"\u003emoleskin\u003c\/a\u003e, tightly woven in France: it resists the elements, patinates and softens with use. The parka is made in France. Quickly adopted by civilians, the M-51 became the uniform of the \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mod_(subculture)\"\u003emods\u003c\/a\u003e, the subculture born in London at the end of the 1950s.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eCut and sizing\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStraight cut, with about 20 cm (8 in) of ease around the chest to layer a jacket or a thick knit.
